Attendance and Participation [Note: this was written for my in-class teaching, but it is still very relevant in our current situation!] You are (for the most part) graduating seniors. This is an important time in your life for job interviews, research, internships, family transitions and other critical factors that might affect your ability to be in class. Not to worry - I post information in Canvas every week so you don't have to ask me what you missed! In addition to lecture notes, you will also find all assignment information in Canvas. Please check in weekly to stay on top of your assignments. If you know you will miss a class, please email me so I'm aware and if it's for a really good reason (like a job interview) I will cheer you on! Late Work I realize sometimes you may miss a deadline or two. I allow for work to be turned in late with a slight penalty for each day it's late, however I don't accept work after 5 days past a deadline. At the start of every module in Canvas, I let you know what's due and when, and those assignments are also posted on the Syllabus page in Canvas. In addition you can check the course calendar - so many ways to stay on top of things! If you have an extended absence for health or family reasons, please contact me and I will work with you to make sure circumstances do not negatively impact you further.
